the camera I have has 1 black wire from the camera, a red connection point that when taken apart has 4 prong connections, then a black connection point. I inserted a different wire from the box to connect that and from that point it splits in three: yellow is shorter length, red open wire end and black with terminal connector. I believe I will need to strip the ends and crimp the pins mentioned to put all three in the connector above the brake. Now just trying to figure out how to feed the wires.

On the red connector the center pin is 12v and the slotted outer metal band is the ground, known as coaxial as one wire surrounds the other.
I totally understand that there is a positive and ground outer sheath but the bike connector has 3 wires. Where does the third wire come from since most backup cameras only have two wires going to them. Thanks

What's the best way to connect the camera wires to the oem connector?

Has anyone just cut off the oem connector and hardwired the camera wires to the spyder wires? (gnd to gnd, cam to cam, pwr to pwr)

Or does anyone have a link to a connector I can use that will plug into the oem connector?
