My only thoughts are is there a dealer in your area that will service when you need it looked at?
There's a lot of people on the Spyder forums that will tell you the dealers in their area won't
touch one over 10yrs of age.
If you are that mechanically inclined then that isn't an issue..
The other thing is to find one that hasn't been sitting in a garage or shed for the past 5+ yrs
In my younger days, I bought a couple of motorcycles that were 10yrs old with low mileage,
the first one I got lucky with, no problems..
The 2nd one was an 1987 Goldwing with 2500 miles on it, it ran great, was a bargain buy, but the guy never filled the tank before he put it away for the winter. it did sit in the garage, but in Wisconsin over the winter it gets cold and warm, repeat, all fall and winter, a couple of years later rust started flaking off and plugging the fuel filter and causing issues,
And replacing the tank costed more than the bike was worth.
That's my .2 cents. good luck with what ever you decide
