Hello everyone, I currently have a three wheel Piaggio 500 and I’m looking to get something bigger such as the RT spider Limited but would like to get an older one to save some money. What’s your thoughts on the 2012 Limited?

My only thoughts are is there a dealer in your area that will service when you need it looked at?
There's a lot of people on the Spyder forums that will tell you the dealers in their area won't
touch one over 10yrs of age.
If you are that mechanically inclined then that isn't an issue..

The other thing is to find one that hasn't been sitting in a garage or shed for the past 5+ yrs

In my younger days, I bought a couple of motorcycles that were 10yrs old with low mileage,
the first one I got lucky with, no problems..
The 2nd one was an 1987 Goldwing with 2500 miles on it, it ran great, was a bargain buy, but the guy never filled the tank before he put it away for the winter. it did sit in the garage, but in Wisconsin over the winter it gets cold and warm, repeat, all fall and winter, a couple of years later rust started flaking off and plugging the fuel filter and causing issues,
And replacing the tank costed more than the bike was worth.

That's my .2 cents. good luck with what ever you decide

What part of Texas r u in. I am going to Stephensville, Tx next week and I have a 2017 RTS with around 60,OOO miles on it. It is in descent shape. Would you consider a trade. I had a 250 piaggo 250 and I really enjoyed the bike. Let me know what you think. If interested let me have some info on your bike.
