Yep.
I did change over to full, and true synthetic Amsoil, but we have been running it in everything we've owned, and presently own since the mid 80's.
There are all sorts of quality full, and blend oils out there.

 

Hi Mike. Welcome to the forum from North Carolina. As stated by the other members, oil discussions are numerous and have many many opinions.

You’ll probably find most of us have switched over to a quality full synthetic that is motorcycle specific and complies with the manufacturers ratings.

 

A fellow told me many years ago when I first started in automotive repair world. Best kind of oil is clean oil. I prefer full syn oils, they have longer lasting shear strength retention.

 

Rotella T-6 full syn 5W-40 in my F3s for the past 6 years and no issues, runs smooth. It's approved for motorcycles.

 

I'm now running BRP full synthetic after my first synthetic blend oil change. The factory now sells full synthetic oil change kits for the 1330.
I picked up 0.3 mpg with the change.

 

Hey Team!
My first post here, as i just purchased a 2018 Spyder RT Limited.
It's got 3000 miles on it and im figuring i should get an oil change.
So i called a large, reputable dealer in my area and they want $300 for an oil change, which, having never owned b4 sounds ridiculous to me!
Is that about right?
Is that about what it costs everywhere, or would/can a smaller, local independent do alot better and still do the right job?

The parts alone are approximately $109 for BRP full synthetic oil and filter and o-rings.
Labor takes approximately an hour, so with tax and haz waste charges, $300 is about right.
If you do it yourself, you'll save the labor.
