So the Spyder's been around a while now. Why haven't any of the major motorcycle players come up with a clone by now? A cheaper clone, not like the cheesy Roketa scooters, but a real competitor like Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki.

Surely someone could come up with a high quality reverse trike. Maybe one that would be less painful to wrench on oneself. Maybe one that would have a knowledgeable network of dealers and mechanics.

I'm really surprised no one has stepped up to compete.

I can't help but wonder if it is all the bells and whistles that stop the competition. Can Am has really put together a complete package that will be hard to top everywhere but price.

To make another reverse trike you need the VSS system from BOSH. Without the VSS it would not be safe for the masses. There have been some prototype trikes and it would not be too hard to make one that is more dependable. Some have tried the reverse trike that leans but IMHO they have turned out very ugly:mad: If you watch the videos of some of these leaning trikes you can see the rider strugle to bring it back upright after a turn.
