That sounds crazy. Seven weeks?
I follow most, if not all of the spyder message boards - really the first time I have heard of this. Most of the time, the shop is too proud (or more likely lazy) to work with BRP directly on the issue - once they work with BRP the issue is usually resolved in just a day or so. Push them to call BRP - and start calling and complaining to BRP directly. You may also want to, although a huge pain, find another shop/dealership and move the bike if you don't get any progress immediately.
