Well the spyder is in garage and now has 250 miles on it. Being a Harely rider for years, I must say this is very different. So far I think the spyder is great, still learning the curves! My question is > Did your tool kit come with the tool to take your side panels off? Mine has a small star like tool but it doesn't fit the side panels. The screws seem to have a small pin in the center, doesn't anyone know the size or correct tool for these?

Yes, mine came with pretty much all the tools you need to work on the Spyder except an actual torque wrench.

Charlie Brown here...Congrats on your purchase.ZZtop169 I just traded my 08 model in for a 2010 RT .Brought my Blue into my garage last nite.. Wow there is a lot of difference..All to the plus side...Your right about the corners..Its abit different. The tool bag...Yes its there under the seat..all tools are there except the panel star wrench to fit the upper panels.Ill contact my dealer in the morning about this. Im glad I read your entry. Other RT owners should check abit closer The one star wrench looks real close til fitting time. ZZtop169..good luck on your RT. You will leave the Harley in the shed.HAHA

ZZTOP,
You do not have to undo the two Screws with the pin in the center of the star. Thats why the pin is there.

The Screws just hold a pin that pushes into a grommet. Undo all the other screws in the panel and slowly pull off the panel.

Okay those panels that they hold the pin in are loosening with miles and now thanks to their forward thinking at BuRP I can not tighten them with a wrench like I would like to! I guess I will remove the panel tomorrow and see if when off the trike I can tighten them on the pins and that way make the panel tighter on the trike. They sure made that easier for the masses huh? I think to get hired as an engineer by BuRP it is required to have ADD or ADH? Bill
