It seems to be unusually quiet on the few Spyder forums I check out. I guess that delivery is happening today and everyone is at their dealer checking out the new Spyders. I anxiously await any reports so I may enjoy the moment vicariously through your posts. It would not be a good day for any Michigan Spyder owners, at least in southeast Michigan as it has been raining on and off all day.

Well, from reading multiple forums, I see that the Spyders are still MIA. What is disturbing is the lack of information and the varying info (heresay) that we are getting from dealers and BRP reps via Spyder buyers. I would pull my hair out (if I had any) if I saw one more post that had multitple different versions of what is going on with Spyder shipping.

My dealer says something is going on and we will only get 1 Spyder
My dealer says that we are only getting 5 at first
My dealer said I would have to wait til January
The BRP rep said to talk with the dealer, he can't give out any info
BRP rep said they shipped last week
BRP rep says they will ship soon (hopefully not the same rep who said they shipped last week)
Stuck in customs
Extra safety tests
etc.

What happened to the original official statement of 600 would ship Sept. or Oct. and each dealer would be getting three?

Delivery

I just called my dealer and was told the same thing as pretty much everyone else. Units have been shipped is what they believe and have to get through customs. Since Jay Leno does not have his yet and his was the first one off from the line then we must have a little wait yet. My dealer stated that they are getting four and that one is supposed to be a demo but, they are not going to keep it as a demo. They are going to give it to there customer that put a deposit down. I am number three and I have one of the first ones that they get. I am being patient but, it would be nice for a press release or announcement from BRP just to keep everyont happy and informed. Even bad news is better than no news. I am fortunate enough to live in the south where I can still ride it when it comes in.

The CUSTOMS think is BS.. The "not yet owners" in Canada do not have machines either... Yes some news would be good this is really getting old..
