@Bob: Never was a whack-a-mole aficionado. My 10 year old son, however, loves it. I do enjoy clearing out the detritus accounts on here...immensely, and doing it in a fun manner.
@ABQ: Thanks brother. I started as an medic myself. Saw all the nurses just writing about all the work I did. Figured that was a better gig and got my nursing degree (laughs). I did learn enough not to be like those no-load officers that inspired me to get my commission in the first place. One of the main reasons I got it was so that I WOULDN'T be one of "them" and show Airmen medics (officer and enlisted) the right way to function as a team. Thanks for your service as well. HOOAH.

That's the way to do it man. I did 5 1/2 years enlisted and then 5 1/2 commissioned. I think learning from the ground up makes you a better leader in the long run. HOOAH! Love it!
Well, I'm home. Survived my deployment safe and sound. There was never really any doubt that I would, but I feel a lot better about it typing it here in Vegas rather than down in the sandbox.
Took the cover off my Spyder. Checked for leaks. She turned over right away. I ran her for a bit to check for leaks and things are GTG. Just have to go turn back on all my insurances before taking her out. LOL.
Congrats an getting back safe and sound and a great big thank you for being a service man. Many serve and not enough thanks given to those that do. No one made you sign up , you did it because you wanted to.....THANK YOU.
Riding here in Vegas has been great since I got home. Had some flat spots in the wheels even after storing with them slightly overinflated. Everything rounded out after a short jaunt.
Civilians along every stop on my way home were overly gracious. Free drinks. Applause. Thanks. Offers to buy dinner. One guy on the way from Baltimore to Denver gave a young Airman his first class seat. Literally brought a very manly tear to my eye. I had to get up and than the guy. Told him such kindnesses may go a long way towards turning a young Airman eventually into an old Airman like me. The few times I've had to fly in uniform, I'm always humbled by just how thankful the American public is of what we do.
To all the thanks...it's my pleasure to serve. I really don't see myself doing anything else. And thank you guys for paying my salary.
