I would like to get a Spyder for some short cruising jaunts. My options are go all out for an RT or start with an RS that I could add handlebar risers, seat, higher windshield and luggage. Since I am currently on 2 wheels and don't really know how much I will like a trike, I am thinking of going with a used RS. My questions is - how do the "raised" bars on a modified RS compare to the ones on an RT? Any other comments would be appreciated.

As you can see by Hammers.... you can easily add a lot of the storage space on an RS, but the RT is sure stuffed with all sorts of goodies!

It is certainly a lot less expensive to get into a used RS and add a lot of accessories then buy a new RT though. Test ride them both, and then maybe it will be easier to decide which way to go.

It certainly was different. It was very windy and it moved around alot. I don't know how much that was me, the wind or the bike. I am still trying to decide if I liked it or not. I rode it about 20 miles and started to feel more comfortable. I ended up only riding the RT
