There seems to be a BIG problem with the parking brake on the RT. I just had our RT in for the problem and the dealership doesn't know how to fix it. They suggested throwing parts at it, like the $1800 actuator motor. The problem is on thousands of Spyders and it is a Can Am problem that should be fixed through a recall. It is dangerous. Imagine living in Seattle and getting off your bike and it rolls down the hill killing several people.

Can-Am This needs to be addressed!!

Hire a lawyer.
Send them a letter.
Blowing off steam in places like THIS will accomplish nothing.

Then......I think you are being screwed.
I don't remember the motor being anywhere near that expensive.
But it is what they usually change to "fix" the problem.

You can write and call BRP. They will do nothing and tell you to bring it to the dealer to repair. Once the unit gets to the dealer, it's their headache. It's almost like BRP doesn't make mistakes. Hire an attorney. Maybe you can get a judge to form a class if there are enough people involved. Otherwise your on your own.
