Tom Is that a piston is completely out of the caliper, I can help you put it back together, it's not easy but it's done Ok!
Hi FlyBoy,
I removed the rear brake assembly from the Spyder and set it up in a vise.
With the assembly held firm, I was able to push and turn (CW) the caliper piston back into the housing using a pair of sturdy needle nose pliers.
I then mounted the brake assembly back on the bike.
Now comes the fun of bleeding the rear brake line.

I Tom I have a 2014 and my niece too and she had the same problem as you, after some long research I found this document how to redo a caliper brembo, its not easy but it is done since you have succeeded . FlyBoy2121
Hopefully the piston is not damaged and will operate smoothly.
I have saved that PDF file for future use it required. Thanks for that.
While we dont have salt applied as some northern blokes I do pull the pads/ retaining pin and give the calipers a clean and service with my annual service on all my rides. I do lube the piston/o rings and bits with some Red Rubber Grease.

Congratulations To have everything reassemble its not easy to do, the dust seal piston parts are unavailable, the only thing you can buy from BRB is another caliper. The PDF that I sent to you, the caliper he goes on a motorcycle.

you must have Buds/Buds2 kit to bleed brakes. It will actuate your ABS system at right times. Most but not all Dealers charge you 5 hours at $150 an hour to bleed your brakes. Your next choice is to buy a one year license Kit and do all the labor and computer work yourself. the kit gives you the software and added cables and so on.

What is the price of a one year license kit?
The brakes are working marginally at this time, however, they are not as they should be.

although I seen a gentelman who said he would not get the software and so on just to do the bleeding, he would just do a manual bleed and leave it at that.
If the brakes appeared to be working fine and now not so much I would re-bleed and check all nipples are completely closed.

A certain amount of luck is needed for that to work out OK.
IF.....during the bleeding process, the electronic ABS/stability controller sees a "fault" because of what you are doing.......you might need a BUDS computer connection to clear the fault, even if you don't follow their suggested procedure.
