I called DTE, the US Distributor of the Pedal Box unit, and talked to one of their engineers!

This new thing on the market called "Pedal Control", according to him, is a "cheap Chinese knockoff", where the actual Pedal Box is German engineered and manufactured for each vehicles characteristics.

So, there ya go! Now we know!!!

AND.....They all are kind of a "knockoff" because it does nothing more than you can do by yourself.......just by twisting the throttle farther and faster.

Side Note: While it might be difficult to turn a Spyder over, it is not impossible.

One member of our riding club did just that a couple of days ago........when he goosed the throttle a bit too hard when leaving from a stop and turning at the same time.
When the inside wheel started to lift (he thought it did, nobody will know for sure) and he corrected for that, the front end stabilized but by then he was off line and hit a traffic sign.......which DID turn the Spyder on it's side.
Relatively minor injuries to him and his wife.

I would think that having a "pedal commander" would just make things like this more likely to happen.
Enter at your own risk.
