OCCASIONAL fast idle on 2008 w/ auto. trans. It will jump from a stop to 18 MPH if you don't stand on the brake! Because it is only occasional I'm afraid to take it in and end up with the idle set too low. Has anyone else had this problem?
Also, it is difficult to shift it into neural...common also?
THANKS for any input!

I think that there is a recall on all SE5 (Auto transmission) models of the Spyders. It relates to the clutch not fully disengaging when at idle under certain circumstances. Sounds like you might have this problem. Suggest you contact your dealer and ask if it can be looked at under warranty/recall notice.

(Do you know where I can look to find out if there is a recall and what it states? THANKS!)
