I wanted to share a post from the head of our newly formed Spyder club.

"From Al Rosenberg,

On January 21st 26 people got together to discuss forming a Spyder Ryders club. We met, agreed on a very informal structure (for now) and scheduled our next meeting. On February 4th we held our second meeting and planned our first event. Jim Potts Motor Group sponsored our meetings.

At the International Motorcycle Show in Chicago about 30 members of the WIILY (Wisconsin, Illinois Y) Spyder Ryders supported BRP at their booth by talking to attendees about our experience with our Spyders. What we did was what most of us do every time we need to fill up at the gas station and get stopped. Jim Potts arranged for a bus, lunch and shirts (with “Ask me about my Spyder” for the event. Here is a note from the BRP District Manager about our participation:

“A major success at this year's show was the presence of Spyder Owners and Riders in the booth selling the public on just how great the machines really are. Jim Potts Motor Group organized a bus full of owners (approximately 35)to come to the show wearing T-shirts that said "Ask me about my Spyder". These folks stole the show with firsthand experience and stories being related to potential customers.”

We are off to a good start and plan on group rides to Spyderfest, Owners Event and locally. If you have interest in joining our group let me know and we will get you on our email list."

If you live in WI or IL and would like to know more about our new club or join us for a ride, please send me a PM or post to this thread and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

It's about time we get a group together! We bought our bike from Jim Potts and love riding. My husband, Bud, actually rides and I am the passenger and love it just as much. I work full time, but he's retired. He's always looking to ride with someone during the week. Please add us to your mailing list for any riding events planned. We did one last summer (cancer ride) with Jim Potts Group and just loved it. It was awesome to meet and ride with all the spyders and what a site to see! We cant make the April Spyderfest one, but looking forward to some more in May through summer and fall. Hope you are enjoying the rides with the past awesome weather...got a little cool this week, but looking forward to so more warm weather!
