iam new to the forum, iam thinking really hard on getting the phantom? i like the all the extras like the seat cowl comes with it already. i would like some input on what the difference is among the spyders except for the price

There is no real mechanical differences in the Phantom, the additional cosmetics items/limited color make it unique (like the white 2010 being offered). To make things a little more complicated, Can-Am did/does sell the body parts in this color for those that wanted to make their own.... The only way you can get gloss black on the touring Spyder, it so get the top of the line model.

oops... to answer your original question.... the only real difference until the introduction of the three levels of touring models were colors. CanAm makes continuous improvements, but the Spyder RS's are basically the same.
