Leaking coolant

Guys, I have a real puzzling problem. The last two winters, my wife's 2015 ST Limited Spyder has leaked coolant out of the overflow tube. During riding season its works fine - no leaking. I've checked everywhere for other leaks and don't see any. I put a pan under it so I can tell exactly where it is coming from - the clear plastic overflow tube that comes down from the back side of the tank and out the bottom of the machine. This just makes no sense to me. I would think the summer time when the engine heats up is when it would come out the overflow tube and not in the cold Illinois winter weather. However, it sits in my garage in the winter which never gets below freezing. I'm very confused. Can you help?

Hi. Welcome to the forum from North Carolina. Glad you decided to join us.

Don’t own your model so cannot effectively answer your question but wanted to welcome you.

Besides some condensation, it seems odd to loose coolant during storage. Does it happen after you run the trike or leaks sitting there? Is the leak just a little?

Before I started for the season it had leaked about a tablespoon. I started it and no leaks during running and I took it all the way until fan came on. Did thus several times. Put it in garage and leaked a drop or two every day if so to date. Just so odd.

Is this "leak" clear water or tinted coolant ?

Is this tank pressurized or not ?

Any chance that it is over-filled ??

It is orange colored coolant. It is pressurized. It is not filled to full. It is fine during summer just not in winter. What would make it go this in winter in my garage when it doesn’t get below freezing in there?

In case the level market is a little off, any way to pull out done coolant without taking out the radiator plug at the bottom the the radiator?

No, no don't go there.
Have you asked this same question in another group ?
I saw an answer there about it not being all that uncommon for a hose connection to leak when the engine gets COLD.

First, I suggest that you be absolutely sure that the drip is coming from the INSIDE of that hose.......and not running down the outside from a leak somewhere above it.

I just have the same issue with my 2014 rt limited se6. Drove it slightly to wash and wax it, then next day came out to this. I have not investigated it yet, wanted to look through the forum to get some insight.

I removed a little coolant and problem went away - for now
Mine was leaking from the hoce clamp on the return hose from the right side radiator. i was able to tighten the clamp to get it stopped
