Just bought a 2022 RT Limited with only 700 miles, three weeks ago. I have ridden Harleys my whole life and am 73 now. I am an amputee from combat in Nam in 1970 near Cambodia, US Army. I feel it is time to feel safer with my wife on back as at times my artificial leg has slipped and the bike has gone down at stops and in a parking lot backing out. Not often but I have caught it many times in parking space on oil etc. I always had my wife wait to get on after I got it pointed in the right direction.

So this is so different it is hard to get used to but I am having fun. I have already added screens in the radiator scoops and hood cut outs, 2 inch handle bar riser, bigger brake pad, Pedal Box tuner, LaMonster Cat Delete. Still need taller bars, like mini apes (need input what works, like 6-8 inches in black) Need a louder muffler, running the pipe with the baffle in minus the round small plug.

My To Do List, input please:

Mini Apes in black that work.
Louder lower sounding muffler
Sway Bar, Brand? Do I need one?
Better speakers??
More louder Bass?
Kicker Amplifier?
other items????

Looking at your desired mods, well reckon you may have bought the wrong ride Chris.

A Harley trike set up with those straight shot pipes sounds more appropriate.

Maybe some confusion on my part. I do not have any straight shot pipes. I have a baffle in the cat pipe, plus I am still running the OEM factory muffler out back. I would just like a deeper sound like Akrapovic but anywhere from 1,300 on up is pricey so I wonder what others have or like. It will never be a Harley or sound like on. Have you ridden a Harley trike? I have owned one they suck for ride and handling. Can Am doesn’t.

Thank you for the kind words STS. I appreciate you not raining on my one man parade so to speak. So far Easy Rider sure does not seem to be a welcoming party. I am still trying to figure out how all this Forum stuff works. Glad to have served for folks like you, who appreciate it.

So for those who got panties all twisted and bunched. Take a few breaths through ya nose and shake it off.

Re the other unanswered questions so far, such as
Sway Bar, Brand? Do I need one?

Um. If you wish to Pootle about all the time. Probably not.
However if like me I Pootle mostly but dont mind a mad minute or two now and again you may consider an aftermarket sway bay and linkage set. Made quite a bit of difference to my F3 cornering ability.

I'm not sure if your into performance gains and would like to wake up that slumbering 1300 or not.

As far as Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
I have owned, maintained and ridden a bunch of awesome bikes since 1972 or so. But not one HD or any road orientated trike.

Had a clean out and now have just the F3 Spyder and a DR650 remaining.

I too have service time to my country, New Zealand including some Military time. Some 40 yrs or so all up.

Gerald, the only thing I did not understand in your initial post to me was the straight shot pipes, (in my motorcycle life that means straight pipes, no back pressure, just ear busting LOUD. So sorry that is what I thought you meant. The rain comment was directed at someone else. So no worries. No problems here at all. Thank you for your dedication to country and service. Mike, Thank you so much, as you can see I do not appreciate anything he has to say at all anymore. I am surprised you saw this these posts. I started to delete everything but did not succeed. I am not in a hurry to stick around or leave. But I am not sure I meet the definition of acting like an adult, hmm, only 73 but I am not sure my brain has caught up, no it hasn’t or I would be off bikes. Is it okay, I have never worn a helmet either? Ha ha ha. True!!!

I'm not sure if you saw my post, since deleted in the cleanup.
BTW I took a copy of that as I suspected it would disappear, one way or the other.

It was restrained for me but pretty straight up and to the point, as the Kiwis and the Aussies do every day.
No apologies there at all.

Kudos to Mod Mike for finally seeing what was occurring, especially with the newbies, and taking some action.

Still musing if I remain a contributing member.

I so agree with you and also Mike. I had started clearing off my stuff in order to leave here but you guys have taken very swift action to my surprise and agreement. Thank you so much again, and your posts are right and helpful.
