I like to buy gas at my local Costco. They recently switched from the traditional nozzle to the newer, and more eco-friendly, nozzles. It’s been challenging most of the time to get these to work on my Spyder. Sometimes they pump less than just a few ounces before cutting off. Find myself in a continuous cycle of re-engaging the lever over and over till I finally give up and use a work-around (holding the end rubber gasket away from the fill plug with two fingers while I try eliminate the endless on-again/off-again at every second or two cycle). This is the not the optimal rule-up experience, but I dp like the Costco brand of gasoline and also their very competitive pricing, so I keep going back for this reasons.
Is this a “my-issue” only or have others experienced this frustration?
I am thinking to get a piece of plastic PVC pipe at the right width to place between the nozzle and the fill hole, but wanted to ask here what, if anything, others are doing (other than finding a gas station with the older nozzles).
