What am I doing wrong?

I recently purchased a new 2021 RT Limited.

I followed all the instruction to try to get BRP connect to work but I cannot get any maps etc to show on the Spyder display.

Here’s what I did:
1. Downloaded BRP Go from App Store.

2. Installed a number of compatible apps using BRP Go, such as Genius Maps and AccuWeather.

3. Connected my iPhone 12 iOS v15 to Spyder using Bluetooth.

4. Unlocked phone and started BRO Go on phone.

5. Plugged phone into USB on Spyder using OEM cable.

6. The phone’s screen showed “Connection Successful” and to leave the phone unlocked and connected.

7. I pressed the Phone button on the left handlebar. Several apps appeared on the Spyder screen including Genious and AccuWeather.

8. I select one of the apps using the joystick button and immediately my phone launches the selected app. (Was that supposed to happen?)

9. However, on the Spyder screen it shows “Loading”, after 10-15 seconds followed by “Please check your phone”. My phone still shows the app I selected has started up fine.

10. I select the green arrow next to “Please check your phone” using joystick. I then get the message “Application not Available”

I have technology skills and I’ve tried everything to try to get this to work.

Can anyone help?

2020 RTL...same issues, I've finally managed to get it to work with Accuweather and REVER...I open REVER on phone, select a ride I've planned, select "Ride It" then without closing the app, I connect the phone to the USB, open BRP GO on phone, and usually it will say Connection Successful after the hourglass disappears. I also have the phone paired to the machine via Bluetooth beforehand. If you turn off the machine, you have to repeat the process from the open BRP GO stel. With REVER, I request Turn by Turn directions only, and usually they will come up, but it won't show the track...it's frustrating.

Any new app you try to open in the dash will require approval on the phone. Each app that hasn’t been opened will have a key and be greyed out. Select it then check the phone. There will be a pop up confirming the use of the app in the dash. Just click OK.
If you want complicated, try watching videos on the BMW TFT screen or Harley Davidson’s system. ($150 a year) or even Honda’s dash with Apple Car Play.

As mentioned, any time you have a new app to use you have to open it and click OK to allow the app to be used in the dash.
Also, make sure to set up each app in the phone first. Download maps for the GPS apps, FOBO, and Rever. Rever does work for navigation but when you activate a route you’ll see it greyed out. Close out of the app then reopen and it works.

Hi Gang,
I have a 2021 Spyder RT Sea To Sky and downloaded BRP GO and Genius Maps to my phone. I know I can't use Waze or Google Maps on my "screen", but does anyone know if it's possible to have the "audio" from Waze or another app on my phone to play through the speakers on my Spyder? And if so, do you know if spoken directions or warning of my next turn would interrupt music I'm listening (from my phone, through BT to the bike) to for the audio navigation instructions?
Thanks much in advance.
