Can anyone tell me the type of bulbs used for the headlight? Are they H-4 bulbs?
I found and downloaded an owner's manual and all it says is that they are halogen. I kind of figured that.
DDM Tuning has HID replacement units for H-4 bulbs.

Thanks :D

BRP sells HIDs as an accesory for a nice chunk of change...
There's probably a good reason for that; besides them wanting to make lots of money!
HIDs (from what little I know!) ssem to require more power to really work well. I put a set in my ATV and had to add a big old ballast-type piece of hardware to make things work right.
My Missus had HIDs in her Chrysler 300 and they put out some of the best nighttime lighting I've ever seen**; but they were also almost $700 each!

** not as good as Paladin's nighttime lightshow!

LOL @ Bob

if you think of HID's as being the same deal as a compact flureescent?

they need a starter to get the light powered up and bright is not the word for them

they are also supposed to last longer than halogen lights and actually take less power

but yes they are very expensive but worth every penny in my opinion

Spyder's use the H3 bulb. H4 has the high low beam. Can-am uses a deflector to lower the light. HID's actually use less voltage once they are up and running. Found this out when installed on the Hraley. There is a bit of modification to the factory case. Not a big deal, just pay close attention to what your doing and all goes well. I bought Xenon HID's for $95.00 and was done in about 2 hrs. Mainly taking it down to get to it is the time frame...Just make sure you purchase the 1 with the compact ballast, you'll the the room to "CRAMMM" it all in there..J/K. you have room if you arrange accordingly..

Good luck if you go this route. I was pleased with the final result..
