I have a 2021 RTL and a short reach person BRP does have a different handle bar that makes the reach shorter by a couple of inches. But I wanted a backrest so I went with the Utopia backrest. It can be adjusted 1 to 5” so that you sit closer to the handle bars. It worked for me and also you can take it on and off quick release.
