Fuel Gauge/Computer Incorrect Near Empty

I'm a 2022 RT Limited owner. Our first Spyder and we are absolutely loving it! Have not given up the 2-wheeler and don't plan to. Love the feel of both!!
When the fuel gets low, the fuel gauge/mileage computer are showing empty/<40 miles to go with low fuel warning indicator illuminated. However, when I fill up the most it will take is 5.5 gallons. With a 7 gallon tank I would think this would happen at ~.5 gallons. This happens every time it gets low on fuel (or so it says). Are other 2022 RT Limited owners experiencing anything similar? Thanks

Welcome to the forum from North Carolina. Glad you decided to join us.

I don’t have your model so cannot effectively answer your question. Do know that most low fuel indicator systems tend to activate with a decent amount of fuel left.

The systems have to be designed this way because the manufacturer has to take into account the vehicle might be in a remote area and fuel is a distance away. Also vehicle load and the operator’s driving’s technique affects mpg.

They ALL work that way.......on purpose.
Most cars too. Honestly.

Part of that 7 gallon "capacity" is reserved for air space
and about a gallon is a "reserve" in an attempt to keep you from doing
something stupid.
So the numbers you report sound normal.
