I have just over 3,000 miles on my PE Spyder. Until today, I have had no issues.

Today I went for a short ride, enjoying my new Slider windshield. When I stopped at a light, the Spyder stalled out and gave me the following codes:

ABS Fault
VSS Fault
EBD Fault

I turned the key off, waited a couple of minutes then restarted it and drove away. Same thing happened at the next light. I went home and it did it again as soon as I stopped in the garage. This time it wouldn't restart and gave me another fault code:

Check DPS

Besides taking it back to the dealership, does anyone have any ideas on what might be the problem? Hopefully something simple.

spyder wont start and then it does after a little time ???

If you want to check for "fault codes" - turn the ignition switch to "on" , clear the warning message with the mode button on the left handlebar, then use the mode button to select the "Hr" mode (it must be in this mode), then depress the headlight override switch on the right front handlebar and the mode switch on the left front handlebar at the same time. While holding these two buttons in, quickly hit the high beam flasher button on the the left grip five times in quick succession - it needs to be quick - it took me a few tries. The fault codes will scroll across the instrument panel. I found this on another forum Dennis

My 08 Spyder is doing the same thing?//? Did you get it fixed?.. If so what was wrong with it????

My fault code is E!

My wife bought an '08 Spyder and it was fine for a couple of months. One day I was riding it and it just freaked out and started flashing R and N and then E. The engine was sputtering and spiiting soot out the pipes and I pulled over and shut it down. It was ok after that for a bit. Then my wife was on it in front of my bike on a ride a couple weeks later and it did the same thing to her. Now it has gotten worse as everytime we try to ride it we get an E in the gearshift selector and it freaks out. Also, I noticed that the right front fender is two inches lower than the left. In other words, the light on the left front fender is visible to me, but the one on the right is below my vision. I was curious as to why and measured and for sure it is two inches lower in the front. Any one else having similar issues?
