I have a 2010 RSS SE5 and when either I downshift it or it does it on it's own the spyder relays bogs down and makes a big noise. The noise is just the motor downshifting but it's loud, is that common? I've never driven another spyder besides mine, I've actually never even seen another one on the road!! Thanks for the help!

I'm not sure on this, I don't have an SE, but it doesn't sound normal to me. There should be someone around soon who can help you out with that. May be something needs adjusting. That's the extent of my mechanical wisdom, sorry! :)

Also, I have noticed that the SE5 Spyders down shift very conservatively, meaning that it will lug the engine if you try to accelerate quickly. I often have to manually down shift another gear to keep in the powerband.
