Six quarts is too much. If you continue running it with that much oil, you may well end up with oil seeps and leaks. Not good.

Why would they request your VIN ?
I am confused.......and maybe YOU are too.
You NEED to get this straightened out because a quart too much can cause serious problems sometimes.

They wanted the VIN and "said" they were going to research this to see if or how many other owners ran into this issue. The VIN will give them every detail on the bike.
