The SE-5 is soooooo close to a full automatic in many ways, I just cannot see it ever happening. In all my discussions with BRP, the question has never even been raised "Do you think anyone would desire a full Automatic".

With that said, it might not be that much of a jump to do with the SE-5. Is there a specific market a full automatic would fulfill in the SE-5 does not?

I know that twist and go scooters are sure fun, and there are some larger Chinese made twist and go cycles out now as well. I do not know how well they are selling, but do know my Ex wanted one as shifting was just to complex for her.

Maybe I will try and get a test drive on the SE5. After having conventional bikes my whole life, I have a Suzuki Burgman (twist n'go) now. It kinda spoils you.

I have a 2009 Suzuki Burgman 650 and it is fantastic. The transmission works perfectly. I even got used to the engine downshift when you come to a stop. Today I am picking up a new 2011 Spyder RTS SE5. The little shift button isn't a problem at all. I just hope that button doesn't break.

Does the Burgman used a CVT-based transmission? Can Am has one of those in its Comander 1000 UTV that would prove to be an interesting setup... The 998cc Vee-twin is tuned for only 85 horsepower in it, but is pulling a lot more weight!
While they're at it... why not throw the front driveshafts in also and build a 3wd Spyder???
