We are planning a very nice Hot Springs Arkansas event. If you are not familiar with this area, it is blessed with some of the most fantastic Spydering roads in the nation. I've been driving these back roads for 18 years, they are sooooooo perfect. Beautiful views, sweeping curves, and little or no traffic.

I've held events for many years, people from TX, MS,LA OK, and MO regularly attend.... So just because you are not in AR... don't hesitate to join in on the fun!

Steering Question

Spyderman, I'm a potential buyer of a 2010 Spyder. I currently own a 2008 Yamaha Venture with a Voyager Trike kit attached. Could you please compare the steering energy required to turn a Spyder to perhaps what I
have? On a scale of 1 to 10, and 1 being the easiest (least energy required)
to steer.
I would rate my 2005 Yamaha Road Star (2 wheeler) as a "2" and the Venture with the trike kit at about a "7 or 8". This makes for a tiresome ride after several hundred miles on curvy roads. My wife and I are in our 60's and I don't have the upper body strength I used to have.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
P.S. We live next door in Mississippi.

I had a Goldwing Trike, it had additional rake, so it was a 6/7. I would say the Spyder is a "3", it's electric powered assisted steering is pretty darn nice, it is designed to give you the feedback needed to "Know" you are steering, so it does have slightly more effort than a two wheeler. You will feel much more secure on the Spyder than any triked out cruiser. I'd recommend taking the time for a test drive.
