After years of biking together (separate bikes) my wife is no longer comfy on two wheels. A friend has a Newer Spyder and lent it to her to ride and she loves it. So now I'm on a mission to find a good used Spyder for her. I came across a 2014 Spyder STS with 2500 miles. It looks like new! The guy is asking $11000 for it and it seems like a good deal. Never having one, is there anything I should be aware of? Our friend says to go 2016 or newer because of the engine I guess. I heard the 2013 ST limited felt tippy and used oil. Also a heat on leg problem. Any opinions on the STS will be greatly appreciated!

A 9 year old vehicle with only 2500 miles on it is not necessarily a good thing.
Rubber parts will need to be changed. Tires, hoses, etc. Vacuum hoses were a problem.
And other routine service likely was not done.......like brake fluid and coolant.
And battery.
I suggest that your and the seller should agree to split the cost of a thorough dealer inspection before you decide.
And while you are at it, ask the dealer if they will still service it after it is 10 years old. Some won't.
