Hello all,

I just bought a used spyder rt Limited see 5 with 11k miles on it, I am wondering if I am able to have a couple of things installed on this such as a 12v adaptor so I can change my cell phone while it is mounted to the handlebars. a Bluetooth receiver so I can listen to my XM radio on my phone and if this is something the can am sho will do.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Welcome to the forum from North Carolina. Glad you decided to join us.

Congratulations on your new trike. Since I don’t listen to music while riding, cannot efficiently answer your question. But wanted to welcome you.

Now I am little scared that I bought this, I was told about an oil conversation kit needed to be done or getting an oil change would be hard to do if this was not done and other parts are hard to get for these old bikes.

So little worried.

Whoever told you that is giving you bad advice.
A lot of things on a Spyder are "hard to do" but that is no reason to panic.
And the newer ones have similar access problems but learning about them is not a huge problem.

The connections you want might already exist in the trunk, maybe behind a drop down shelf.

Yeah I freaked out over nothing, sorry.

I did find a webpage that has my blue tooth receiver that will hook up to this bike as well as a USB and 12v mount for the handle bar and phone mount that I ordered.
I ordered it off this place.

So I am very excited.
One of the better places for Spyder parts and information.
Good choice.

Just don't get SO excited that you rush into something that you are not familiar with and muck it up.

agree,

I have rode motorcycles for a while now but this is so much different.

Been watching youtube videos and reading about turning cause I know its different. Just trying to keep myself informed on this so I don't muck it up.

Hey neighbor, I'm in the big city of Chesterfield SC. I used to attend the auctions at Don Halls Auction of course I understand his son Danny has taken over. My RT is still in the shop at RideNow in Concord but hope to get it out maybe end week or first of next.

Like you, I recently bought a 2013 Spyder RT Limited SE (Used w/3000 miles). The owner recently developed cancer and the Mrs says the Can Am had to go. He had some nice upgrades along with some other things (Not Installed).. Which includes a 12V adaptor.
See link: Can-Am Spyder RT Phone Holder / GPS Mount with USB Phone Charger (2010-19)

I am not going to get it installed. And willing to sell it. Contact me: [email protected]
