proud owner of a 2012 spyder. Wondering what serious tourers are sitting on. Factory seat is nice, but not for any amount of time in the saddle. went on a nice all day ride last august, and couldn't last more than 1 1/2 hours at a time. There is a lot of nice seats out there, but I don't want to spend a lot of money, only to have it not work well. Thanks.

Seems like the two most popular choices would be Corbin or Ultimate Seats which is a Canadian company. I’ve never tried either however like yourself would like to upgrade one day. My wife and I each have a 2012 RT limited so my problem is I can’t just buy one lol.

Russel Daylong makes good seats too.
But they aren't cheap and you have to send in your old one for modification.
