Hello, I found a 2009 for sale for 2k. The owner said the only issue is it does not shift. It turns on. He priced it to sell and does not know or have the energy to find out. Wanted to see what you all think. Should I pass or would it be worth if? I know it might be hard to saw what’s wrong, but has anyone had any experience with this issue.
Thanks in advance

Is this a manual or semi-automatic transmission ?

If manual, the clutch might feel "mushy" and the slave cylinder has failed.
If that is the problem, it will be possible to shift it with the engine OFF because the clutch won't be dragging.

Thanks for your response. It’s a semi automatic so with that, could it still be the cylinder failure?

NO. That is a part of the manual clutch.
The automatic works entirely differently.

A failure to shift with the automatics often is due to the contacts on the paddle shifter mechanism.
