1st Alarm/Remote Start with Power Trunk Opener YouTube

I live in Chicago and I was passing by the Chicago Cubs Stadium when I saw a Red & Yellow Can-Am Spyder which was a Sunday. I started my research trying to figure out what it was and come to find out it was a legal motorcycle so I ended up taking my motorcycle license that friday and I ended up buying it the following Friday. Now I have my installer who spent 14hrs working on this bike in & out which lot's of people said it could not be done and it's finally done. This is the first Can-Am Spyder that has a remote start w/Alarm. Not to mention for people that are tired of opening up the trunk manually we installed a custom actuator to pop the trunk open via the remote control. Were working on a youtube video of all the installation we did and we plan to answer any questions and share our findings. We did a lot of modification on the electrical lightings. I did not spend money on the OEM HID which is too expensive. The only thing I bought was the OEM Fog Light but I used a reliable HID kit for both Head Light & Fog Light that's I've used on all my cars which lasted for years. I also got a hold of the BRP Paint code to custom paint the wheel trim and all the silver pegs and handle bar. Due to running a expensive HID kit I decided to rewire the light control which I am able to turn on all lights off during the day which saves HID energy. Once Dark comes I can hit the light switch to High Beam and all lights will turn on. I did not purchase any of No Magic's rewiring harnes that they sell for Triple Play. My installer did everything from scratch. Everything I say is without a harness just from scratch. All lights stays on at night, I have both fender lights & turn signal stays on. When turning both lights up. Same goes on the rear they both stay on and when turning they both blink. As for the Alarm you might be asking why I did that. Well the first day i bought this I took it to the mall and when I got out I saw a big crowd around the bike and they were taking turns sitting on the bike which pisss the hell out of me. So we customed a trigger point under the seat which is a preasure driven sensor. The minute someone sits on the bike seat the alarm will go off along with the horn. If someone decides to move the bike and press the emergency brake the alarm will go off. If someone opens the trunk or the gas storage the alarm will go off. The minute the bike is lifted off the ground the alarm goes off. I have a 2 way LCD pager which is a 1 Mile radius so it will tell what has been tampered by providing live update status of the bike while i'm inside a building. I don't mind people admiring the bike but no touching :) By the way I don't have the picture yet because the minute I bought it it's been in the shop this whole week. I'm waiting for it to be finished by next week and i will post pictures and youtube videos of the job. By the way I take no credit on any of this since I'm not that smart on electrical my alarm install takes the credit on this who's worked on some very high end vehicles before.

My installer finally uploaded the video on You Tube so here it is.

help with instalation

I have the same alarm system you have and was able to install the alarm with auto trunk release but the auto start is giving my installer a problem. Can you email me how you go about installing it and making it work. I have 2011 Spyder with the Viper 5901 as well. Thanks in advance.

I really like the alarm system and remote trunk release but I don't understand why anyone would want a remote start. I don't think I would ever start a Spyder without first being on the bike. Just doesn't sound safe. What would be the purpose? I have a remote start for my car but that's so on cold days the engine can warm up enough to produce heat before heading down the road.
