Now, the other thing is, the external speakers can be turned off.

It may be what you turned on using the menu under the mode button.

Do you have clutch lever and foot shifter, then it is an SM5, SM for manual.

If you have the thumb operated shift lever, then it is an SE5, yes, SE stand for Semi Automatic.

Yes, the 2018 have bluetooth build in but it is not that simple.

You need your phone running BRP Connect.

For the 2017's and before you need the bluetooth dongle (Sena SM 10) installed.
