Smile Another New Spyder Owner

Picked up new 2019 RTLD, Orange, at LeadersRPM in Kalamazoo MI one week ago today. I was very happy with the deal that I received and they had six to choose from. Since I had never ridden a Spyder before my buddy, Greg, rode it home for me, two hours by interstate, with rain.
I mentioned that I had not ridden one when I purchased. Having ridden all over the country on two wheels around 45 years ago I was surprised at the difference in handling with a Spyder. But my wife was push behind the purchase as she felt safe on three wheels and will never mount a two wheeler.
All of my past motorcycle equipment has disappeared, except for my two brown leather jackets. Wife had wanted me to get rid of them over the years to make closet space but they had too much history with me. Anyway, I'm now slowly trying to accumulate proper gear including helmets, rain suite, gloves, etc.
The wife required armrests and so I have installed those and I have a phone mount on order for GPS use. I don't really care for the BRP Connect feature but appreciate Google Maps and Waze.
Well, by the time I get done gearing up for travel I will have spent most of my children's inheritance. Good for me, Right?

Welcome to Spyder World !!

When it is REALLY hot, don't gear up too much.
Heat stroke can do you more damage than a little road rash.

I had a terrible time making the transition from 2 wheels to 3.
It took me about 6 months and several modifications before I got comfortable.

If it feels "jittery" like it is dancing all over the road.......or trying to follow the rain grooves......
start by adding up to 4 PSI in each front tire and be sure that they are equal.

If that doesn't do the trick for you, there are other things that probably need to be done.
