New 2020 Spyder RT

My name is John and I'm 74 years old. I've been riding since I was 11 years old. Over the years I've owned over 30 motorcycles, many of which I restored, after they'd been "totaled" by various insurance companies.

At the age of 70, I started taking flying lessons, and actually bought my own plane. alas, my lack of muscle memory for flying, slower decision making skills opened my eyes to "calling-it-a-day" for flying.

I decided to come back to something with which I do have a lot of experience; however injuries over the years have left my knees "iffy" at best. So, I decided to buy the Spyder, which will allow me to enjoy many more years of riding. Needless to say, I love my new bike!

I hear you John. Iím 65 and started having some ankle issues that made worry about holding up my fully loaded K1600 GTL up at a stop with my wife onboard. I been riding on 2 wheels for over 50 years and was really hesitant and apprehensive about considering a move to 3. Finally, I couldnít resist the redesign on the 2020 RTL any longer so, I sold the Beamer I bought my first Spyder. I must admit, it will take a bit of getting use to but I absolutely love it thus far. My wife feels the same way and feels more comfortable on it than she did on our 13 GTL. (Happy Wife, Happy Life!). I gotta admit, I feel, so much more relaxed now that Iím on 3 wheels. Best of all, itís really allowed me to recapture the simple and pure enjoyment of riding and exploration again.
