Throttle on a 2011 spyder rt

My friend just bought a SPYDER and at age 84 is having problems with wrist fatigue do to the throttle being stiff and hard to twist. Is there anyway to make twisting the throttle easier ?

I have seen reports of their being TWO throttle return springs.....for safety reasons......and that one can be removed, or both replaced with weaker ones.

Might be hard to find a shop that would touch that though.
