Future Spyder Owner

Greetings All,

Am starting to look at Spyder's in preparation for a likely move to the three wheeled world.
Live in Eastern Iowa and current the ride and I each ride a Kawaski Vulcan Vaquero.

Just saying "Hi" as we start our learning.

Future Spyder owner in training.

Welcome.
I like my RT but a couple of notes:

I think that BRP made a major blunder with the '18 models, making some dashboard features dependent on a linked cell phone and not having a CB option anymore.

Then....the riding feel on 3 wheels is entirely different. ENTIRELY.
Test rides are required. As many and as long as you can arrange.

It seems that it takes most "convert" riders a few weeks and a few hundred miles to get comfortable with the different feel.
It has taken me many MONTHS and several thousand miles......and some need to make small adjustments to achieve that.

welcome from another newcomer
Good luck in your Spyder quest. You'll be glad to get one.
There are some very good deals to be had on most leftover 2017's.
There is some nice riding to be had along the river in east Iowa-but you already know that.
Very different from a two wheeler but once you adapt it'll be all smiles.
Find a dealer who offers test rides. There are some who offer a brief course for 75 bucks (in the Tampa area anyway). Maybe get that cost refunded when you make a purchase?
Study the various models and sit on them all. Test ride as many as you can.
