FYI, the Aprilia uses Magnetti Marelli ECU with two maps built in, cutting the wire accesses the second more radical map for fuel and ignition timing.
Perhaps but does the more radical map work well for the system? That is the important question. The original program was set up after many hours on a dyno for a reason. So it would perform according to the EPA regulations. Might not be the best thing for your application but it is all you get.
