Thumbs up Throttle Sensitivity

I just got a 2013 Spyder ST SM5. The throttle is way too sensitive. I turn it 1/4 inch and it ZOOMS. Is there any way to make it less sensitive? I'd like to have to twist more to get RPM's up. I'm an old man and don't need that sensitivity. I sure hope there is.
THANKS.

Do you have an "ECO" mode ?
If so that might make it better.

Otherwise you might need a shop visit........but I suggest finding another owner or two to compare with.
Yours might be normal.

But complaints of not responsive ENOUGH are more common, I think.

You can't SEE the ECO on the dash until it is turned ON.

Left handle bar; mode button; does it say ECO above that button ?
I'm thinking probably not.

Nope, darn. Thanks.
I have the same concern with the steering. TOO sensitive. Wish I could make it less sensitive. Barely move the handlebars and it turns. Need more swing. Oh Well.
I'll have to get use to it.
THANKS again

Garage
The ST's and the 2013's did not have "Echo Mode".

That only started with the 2014 RT.

Pretty much ALL new owners go through this.....especially if you have a lot of years on 2 wheels.

Seat time will make things better. A lot of short rides is better for this than one long one.
It is never gonna be the same as 2 wheels though.

Relaxing your grip in the bars is the first thing to practice.
