Both are common failures with Spyders BUT this is the first I have ever seen where anyone claims that both can be caused by one common component.

Parking brake failures are usually the brake motor.
Windshield not moving usually is a physically broken bracket.

The only way I would let this dealer change out this "module" is if they are guessing with THEIR $600 and not yours.
That is, if the module doesn't fix the problem, you will not pay for it.
