2020 RTL Rims

After a car driver crashed his car and left pieces all over the road at night, I ran over something and blow my tire and messed up my rim. The dealer says that BRP is out of stock and doesn't know when they will have more. Does anyone know where I can get the stock rim or the all chrome rim for my bike?

A really good dealer would take one off another bike on the showroom floor if he needed to.
Alas, really good dealers just don't seem to exist anymore.

I suggest that you contact BRP directly and complain......firmly.
This is ridiculous. Maybe they have a different style that would work.

Bad situation and I know the frustration of the owner who cant get parts.

Regarding the dealer taking parts off a new bike, that would transform that machine to used status and the dealer is not going to do that without factory support. Now, if he has a used bike on site, he could take it from that one although hed have to absorb the inventory cost of an unsellable bike until the new part arrives.

Sucks all around.

The showroom bike will still be 100% new.
What if a tire goes flat and a new tire is put on ?
What if a fitting is loose and some brake fluid needs to be added ??

Using your logic, about half of the new bikes on the showroom floor really are "used".

Mostly with batteries that go dead sitting on the showroom floor.
Putting in a new battery does NOT make it a "used" vehicle.

Over my 50+ years of buying bikes, I've had several small parts taken off of other showroom bikes to get my new one out the door quicker.

Well, Sport, a battery is a consumable and not the same as a wheel.

I expect we are close to the same age and I too remember what a new bike dealer would do 50 years ago but that time has long passed.

Sad as it is, we can certainly agree on that.......mostly.
A scant few companies still know what good customer service IS.

But the definition of a "used" vehicle hasn't changed in those 50 years.
