Top case light

Hello everyone

Are there owners who have installed or installed this light on the cover of the top box of their Spyder.

If there are these good or not good, the light is powerful or not ??

I have seen a few of them installed.
In my opinion:
They look cheap and aren't very bright.

Custom Dynamics makes a much better unit that fits where a light on the trunk should fit and is bright.

The one above is brake/turn but they also make just a brake light that looks the same. It just doesn't have the added turn signal function but is a little less expensive. We had the one below on our 12 model and the one above on our 16 model.

To be honest, I've never seen the one you are talking about to be able to say what it looks like or how it works. I do know Custom Dynamics products work very well and they are easy to work with if there are warranty issues. We got to see how that worked on one of their other products. It was a no hassle affair. I have to admit, I do like the idea of the amber/red in the one you posted but if it is cheap looking as mentioned above, I wouldn't put it on a machine that costs what an RT costs. That's just my opinion as I know how nice Custom Dynamics lights are. I suppose if you have a all white Spyder yours might look okay but I'd question that brightness. I should get some kind of Royalty as nuch as folks see our light and ask who makes it. Plus forums where I mention them. By the way, who makes the one you mention? I'd like to see some details of it if there are any. Just wondering what other models it might fit if they say or if it is strictly the RT.

Do everything as if your life depends on it. It COULD!

And it has nice chrome trim around it too.
(Plastic chrome......but it looks good.)

My friend has the model you are asking about, while I have the custom dynamics model, both do the job but I prefer the custom dynamics looks more original with its chrome and fits across the entire top.
