Sena and Genius Maps

I have a Sena 20S. I also have BRP Connect and Genius Maps on my bike. All of that is working fine -- although I am still learning the "ins and outs" of Genius maps. I would like to have the navigation instructions via Genius Maps go through my Sena so I can hear them. My Sena is paired with my phone. Has anyone been able to have spoken directions from Genius Maps come through their Sena? Thanks!

I have a 2018 with BRP Connect, however, I have not bothered to play much with it.

From what I have read about it, you should pair the Sena with the Spyder and the Spyder with the phone.

Do not pair the Sena with the phone.

Hope this helps.

Exactly. Remove the headset pairing to the phone and pair headset to the bike. Also have the phone paired to the bike as well as plugged in and you will be able to hear music from the phone as well as GPS and any other sounds the phone apps make. Also there is an update 20.8 that will allow listing of FM/Aux in the headset, fuel miles and a few other features.

Go to http://www.operatorsguides.brp.com/I...d-bcacf9836999

Find the 2019 limited manual and you'll find much better instructions compared to what was missing from the '18 manuals.

Flamewinger can you provide me with more information about the 20.8 firmware update? My CanAm service manager can’t find it.

The update need both BUDS connected and a USB cable connected to the USB in the frunk. It's not so much that the dealers have it as when they plug into the bike their system indicates an update and does it. You dealer should check with BRP. The USB cable might be when the dealer needs.
