unidentified 'handle' in grill

hey all,

been meaning to ask: in my F3-T grill on the right side (as you sit on the bike), there is a rectangular handle like piece of plastic colored mostly red. it doesnt seem to move in any direction. i cant find it in my owners manual. anyone know what that is?

A picture or two might be helpful.
Don't zero in too close.

I am not an expert on that model.......but have never seen anything like that before.
If nobody here has any ideas in a few days, stop by a dealership and ask them.

My wild guess is that it is something that was supposed to be removed during the setup at the dealer.

Your Spyder is an F3-T, that red piece of plastic has a white "T" on it.

Checking photos on Google Images, all F3-T's have that.
