Default soon to be ex GW rider

Been riding Wings since about 1987...recently rode the BRP demo bikes at Firebird in Chandler...loved it and my wife loved the back seat..AND the chance to be able to drive!!
Understand that the original 2010's had some new bike woes...so I should try looking for a leftover 2011...thinking RT-S SE5 rather than a Limited
any other suggestions?

cheers
Mike

Not much other then to be prepared in my limited experience this is not a motorcycle. When I first took off from the dealer on mine I thought "hey" this thing is really different. I believe it shares more in common with the BRP recent heritage of Snowmobiles and ATV's?

Ridden 2 wheelers most of my adult life and the Spyder is not a motorcycle..............its way better!

Default Reliability, dealers and parts

Thanks for the replies...my initial enthusiasm seems to have been tempered by reading all the threads concerning BRP customer service, dealer/BRP parts availability...reliability. I know the product is only a couple of years old..but seems to have more than its share of issues...I use my bike as primary go-to-work vehicle about 10 mos out of the year...Is the current Can-Am sorted out to the point that it is reliable transportation???
Thanks in advance for your insight

Mike

Don't forget... Complaints get WAAAAAYYYYY over-represented on these forums... The folks who are happy and riding aren't sitting at their keyboards glaring at the monitor and tapping away...

I'm a newbie here as well, but I have called BRP twice and two local dealers so far and have had a great experience each time. They take time with you and answer all questions. Made me feel like customer support was very good. Just sayin....

Welcome, Mike!

I agree, the complaints far outweigh the compliments because the happy people are riding, not reading. The number of dealerships as well as maintenance-prepared folks are limited compared to car repair shops, so it does take a little longer to get things fixed if they do go wrong. However, oil changes can be done at home if you're mechanically-minded or can read the manual that comes with the bike. I've got zero mechanical capability, but the instructions are very clear on that.
