Unhappy New to Spyder

Hi All from Oz

I just brought a F3-T Ltd 2016 model a month ago, I have now gone through 2 batteries and it's at the dealership now, I was just wandering if anyone else is having the same problem?, I leave it for about 2 - 3 days with not starting it and it's flat??

Any info will be appreciated, thank you
Shellie

Welcome, Shellie, glad you are here.

As far as the battery goes, I am sure the dealer will be running an amp drain test onyour new Spyder. In your place I would demand a full electrical systems test with data. Amp draw at rest, charging out put at idle through normal running speeds, The bikes are power hungry and demand a very strong charging system.

Good Luck, stay in touch

Hi Silvergoose

Thank you for your reply, I have just come back from picking it up from the dealer, however, I have a question, what should the idle revs be please?

Thanks

Idle speed

Shell, I can not give an informed answer as I have the V Twin and not the three cylinder engine, but a quick call to the Service Mgr of your dealership should put the matter to bed.

Just so you know the idle speed for the V Twin semi automatic is 1375-1450 RPM.

Good Luck, enjoy your ride

Welcome to the forum, Raptor.

Are you new to the world of Spyder? How many miles are on the bike, how is the battery condition/

As far as tires we use Khumo and Brigestone tires on both of our 2008 Can Am Spyders, great tires and really improves the ride/handeling.

After changing the rear tire make sure of the drive belt tension, very important that it is set correctly and tracking perfect.

Good Luck
