The angle is bolted to the frame using the mounting screw locations for the plastic splash pad. I drilled and drilled and tapped the two back holes for a 3/8" bolt. I used a 3/8" all thread rod to run from one side to the other to provide a strong mounting. I used a 5/16" rod up front in the front holes. I had to drill the right hole.

I placed 3/4" plastic plugs in the end of the 3/4" tube after being painted.

I used aluminum angle to mount the Spider pads to the 3/4" tube. The size of the angle will depend on how high and where you want to mount the pads.

It's hard to discribe but I will try.

It bought the Spider floor boards from Walmart. They are just the pads that you would attach to your brake and clutch peddles in a car. The kit also includes a larger one for the gas peddle and a shift level knob.

Everything else was bought at the, Home Store, Menards, Lowes, etc.

I used (2) 3/4" steel tubes that run under the frame. This does cause you to loose 3/4" of clearance. Most floorboards connect to the motor mounting bolts but I was not able to bend heavy metal so this option did not work for me.

To hold the 3/4" tube to the frame I run two 1/8" x 1-1/2" angles parallel to the frame and bolted to the 3/4" tube.
See next post for remaining info.

    Jeff,

Nicely done. A man after my own heart...gerry-rigging! But very nicely done. So could you post how you actually constructed and installed the floorboards? You mentioned two stores but what came from which and how did you attach the assembly to your Spyder?

    Thanks!
