Default Trailer hitch

am picking up a SE5 in a couple weeks...need to put a hitch on. Saw one on ebay. it's attached thru the rear wheel.

Wondering if this will cause problems with the tire or wheel bearings?

I have a wheel chair carrier to bolt on the carrier (missing a leg) total weight on ther tongue under 70 lbs.

We have in prototype a wheelchair bracket that will fasten to the rear tail piece. Please stay in touch for other wonderful products from MMG or check out ebay for aftermarket accessories. A guy in new York bought a Reese style hitch from us and was talking about putting a bicycle rack that you put on the rear of your car. We have not heard anything yet about the performance of our product, or if was working for him? Wish you luck whichever you chose. but keep riding. Thanks MMG

Cool Mels Monster Garage Wheelchair Rack

I am picking up a SE5 by 1 May 2009 in Belleville MI (too many bad experiences with the dealership in Maumee Oh. ), but with the loss of my right leg due to MRSA, I need a wheelchair rack to carry that with me. I had a Tilt-n-Tote rack for a car/truck's trailer hitch, but no way to get from the back of the vehicle to the driver's door after loading the chair. My son and I drove the 90 minutes from Toledo with the rack to see if the guys could rig something without re-inventing the wheel. Other folks I had talked to had this depressing, "gee, I don't know" manner. We met Jimmy, his 2 associates, his wife, 2 kids and 2 dogs at the shop. Within a few minutes of brainstorming, they figured out a simple way to mount it at a 90 degree angle from one of their hitches. Furthermore, they think they can have it well in time to install on the roadster's delivery day. The "can-do" attitude couldn't have been better. He said he had several other inquiries, but I guess i was the first at his door.

Hi,

I live just a few mile from Champion Powersports of Belleville! They have treated me well.

This past Saturday I rode my Spyder to MMG and purchased a backrest. They installed it for free and also treated me very well.

Life is good! Enjoy the ryde!

I personaly would never add a hitch to any vehicle which would be a part of the suspension system. Put the hitch to the frame and all is well.

Default hitch

just read the on-line owner's manual where it says "no towing".

by putting a hitch on, will BRP void out the waranty?

Check the other forums - a number of people are pulling trailers, most with the Bushtec hitch (frame mount). Corbin also has one that works with their new side bags. In fact, one of the trailer pullers had his at the reunion at the factory last fall.

Default hitch

I know there are different styles and brands...

My question is if owner's manual says "Don't Tow"

am I going to f up the tranny, suspension or anthing else?...
and I take it to the shop and they say "T.S." warranty is void cause you put a hitch on

I checked with a couple of dealers...no answers there

Hi,
I am also handycap and have a hitch on my SE5. The thing I don't like
is useing a wheelchair carrier hanging off the back of my bike. I believe that
best way if you can walk at all is to use a small trailer with a 6' fold inhalf
ramp. That way the trailer is carring the weight not the bike. I have been
useing mine for five months now and have seen no problems from it.
If you are wanting more information on this system please e-mail me at
flightbuilder@cox.net

This system has given me the freedom that I did not have for the last 8
years. I do plan on going to the big round-up in Hollywood in June. That will
be my longest ride to date, but planning one to KS in Aug, 1200 miles oneway. Have Spyder will rider.

got Mels Monster Garage, Roseville MI to take a Tilt'n'Tote wheelchair carrier and fab it to his trailer hitch at a 90 degree angle. Above knee amputee on right side, no can walk from the back.
