Somethin' goin' crazy under thar!
Every few days, when I start up, the cotton pickin' thing starts knocking, and rattling so it sounds like it is coming apart. The "check engine" warning comes on, and ya gotta shut it down or wake all the neighbors. The RPM also jump from the normal 1200-1400 idling speed to 1600-1800-2000 tharbouts.
If I turn it off and pull the key (pulling the key is probably not necessary, but it makes me feel better), and wait for everything to go off before trying again, it may start up normally, or it may take a third time. Once it starts up normally it's OK. This usually happens in the morning, on the way to work, but it has also happened once leaving work.
Can anyone tell me what the heck is going on? Has anyone else had this problem? Man, we paid too much for this machine for it to do this!

Yikes! I'd be calling the dealer to see if they can take a peek under the Tupperware to see what's going on... The fact that it's not doing it all of the time is confusing... but hopeful! Good luck and please let us know what they find!
